So.. if you wish to sign up for any of the contests make sure you are in line by 5pm otherwise you will have to wait till Friday morning to sign up for the contests.

Only those registered may attend this function. Hors D’oeuvres served. Photo session tonight from 9-11pm so it will be a good time for you to take some photos. Please remember to ask permission first. Taletha King will be entertaining us again this evening with some very exquisite belly dancing.

 

We’ll hold 2 challenges tonight: “Fusion of Art” in pastels & air brushing for 5 tattooists each category. Each will start a drawing, after 15 minutes they’ll move on to the next drawing and add to that one. Again after 15 minutes they’ll each move on again until all 5 Artists have drawn on all 5 boards. And Friday morning we’ll have another using charcoal. We will then auction them off at the Awards Banquet. Travis King is once again coordinating these events.

To enter this contest you must have a brand new completed tattoo done by one of the artists working in a booth today. Get your entry form from the registration desk - fill it out, sign it and bring it back to the registration desk by 7pm so we can give you a number and line you up for this competition.

 

SATURDAY Lectures/Seminars Tuscany 11 & 12

All of the following lectures and seminars are free. But, only those registered may attend. Each Attendee will be given a certificate of participation with the date, length of Course, and signed by the lecturer as proof of furthering your education.

 

10:30-12noon Rice Paper Stencils Shahn Anderson

Shahn will show you how to use rice paper stencils as taught to him by the late great Sailor Moses. This technique allows you to apply full back pieces, sleeves & rib cage work in one shot. It enables you to draw the piece all at once & you can better plan those large tattoos.

Debbie will go over the basics of Photoshop and Illustrator and how they can benefit you in your trade. She will be showing you the differences of the 2 soft wares and explain which one would be better for you - according to what you are trying to accomplish!

10:30am-12noon Cover-Ups 101 Harry Ake This power point presentation explains the basic fundamentals of successful cover-up design and technique. Artistic and technical possibilities and limitations will be described in detail.

Customer Service - whether it is in a clothing store, a hardware store or a tattoo shop, it’s all the same. Discussions on how to not only bring customers in but most importantly how to keep them. Fundamentals on training staff to understand the heart of your business. Hear the trade secrets used on us every day and how we can learn to use the same methods in our shops.
